Hi! 👋

Hi, I’m Kuri.

I was rescued with my family behind a mochi bakery in Little Tokyo, which is how I ended up with my very cute dessert-inspired name.

I’m still a little shy when I first meet new people, so I’m looking for someone patient who understands that the best relationships are sometimes the ones you don’t rush.

Give me a little time, some playtime, and preferably a highly persuasive snack, and you’ll start seeing the real me.

My Personality

I’m adventurous, playful, and extremely food-motivated.

I also have a few signature moves.

For example, I like to proudly carry pom-pom balls around the house in my mouth like I’ve just completed a very important hunting mission.

When I’m ready for affection, I may dramatically flop onto my side in one of my favorite petting spots and invite you to admire me properly.

And when I’m happy or curious?

I wag my tail like a dog.

I contain multitudes.

❤️ MY LOVE LANGUAGES

  • ✅Pom-pom balls
  • ✅Playtime
  • ✅Belly rubs, once you’ve earned clearance
  • ✅Tuna lickable treats
  • ✅Freeze-dried mussels
  • ✅Anchovies
  • ✅Quality television programming

Yes, I am an exceptionally engaged TV viewer.

🚩 THINGS TO KNOW

I may not be an instant cuddle bug.

I’m more of a slow-burn romance.

I need a family who will let me settle in at my own pace and celebrate the little victories along the way.

But once I feel safe, my playful, quirky personality really starts to shine.

My Social Life

I’ve been very close with another cat before, so I can form strong feline friendships — but I’m selective.

I don’t automatically hit it off with every cat I meet, and I haven’t always gotten along with the other cats in my foster home. If my future home includes another cat, the right personality match and a slow, thoughtful introduction will be important.

In other words: I’m not anti-cat. I just have standards.

I’m also already spayed and my shots are current, because even kittens need to have their life together.

What I’m Looking For

A patient person or family who appreciates a girl with personality, respects a little initial shyness, and knows that treats are a perfectly legitimate foundation for trust.

In return, I offer entertainment, tail wags, dramatic flops, pom-pom deliveries, and the satisfaction of watching a shy kitten become more confident every day.
